March 24, 2007D,
I'm looking at performing this MOD in the next several weeks using Dupli-Color's brake caliper kit.
March 24, 2007I used Dupicolor's kit on my old Audi. It worked great and never came off. Just follow the directions and you can't go wrong.
March 24, 2007Cuhhhhhhlick HERE for another thread on the topic.
I used the Duplicolor kit in July of '04 and the calipers still look great. Easy to do (hint...go ahead and rotate your tires at the same time to save a trip) and very durable. Just follow the directions closely. You'll want to really clean the calipers well before starting, and if you're doing them 'on the truck' you'll want to tape off some areas round just in case. Also, most kits will call for a mininum of 24 hours for the paint to cure prior to driving the truck.
March 25, 2007Jerry, does Dupli-Color have a large selection of colors, I'm looking for a blue like the color of the Ford oval?
March 25, 2007Dupli-color has every hue of the rainbow. I'm sure the blue oval will be one of them.
March 26, 2007Umm, not on their caliper kits. Red, yellow, black, silver, and blue. The blue is pretty darn bright.
If you happen to be doing this while replacing the pads, this might be the way to go...absolutely no brush marks.
March 26, 2007Thanks fellas...hopefully the blue is close to what I am looking for.
March 27, 2007Boe, I think it would look awesome, but my guess is it's probably lighter/brighter than what you're after.
5 months agoI used painted custom caliper covers and I love them. The brand is called MGP and they also offer engravings, custom bolts and stuff...
