September 4, 2007My luck is not getting any better the last month.....
A limb on the tree in my front yard broke during one of the windy days we had at the end of July and almost hit my Denali. Few weeks later the city came out to trim the tree and took off a bit more than they can handle and smashed the overhang/roof on the side of the garage. Still waiting for adjuster with the City to let me know what next steps are.
Today I get a call from my wife that a window had broken out from the top floor of her office and fell on the Denali and I needed to get down to her office. The pisser to this is that the spot that my wife parks in is a 1 car spot, no car dings. However now I'm missing a sunroof; the driver side door, passenger door and roof are all scratched up from the broken glass. There are around 10-15 dents just on the driver side ranging from qrt to half dollar dents from the glass. Not sure if there are any rips in the interior since I could not get a good view. The building is all glass and is 4 stories high and the windows are about 12'x12' with glass around 1/8th" think. The impact was enough that one of the side skirts that runs below the Denali symbol has a gouge like someone took a razor to it. Most scratch's are all the way down to metal. I couldn't tell what the roof looked like since there was glass all over the place. Hope to go down to the body shop to see what is going on.
Here are some pictures that I took with my N95. Still learning the in's out, forgive the bad photo's.
